Daiso is always a fun experience. Lots of knock naks to browse at and things you just don't find everywhere.
This shop is addictive... just warning you!
You think you are only going to buy 2 or 3 things that you need; you end up needing to get a basket for the other 10 items you hadn't planned on getting but they look so cool / cute so you had to buy it.
Hands down 5 stars, I need to be an investor or become sponsored
They have a great amount of stuff to browse through. Daiso in Australia isn't the cheapest in Asia Pacific. The indoor slippers look good to try and not too expensive.
An amazing range of extremely well-priced goods, Daiso offers everything from ceramic dinnerware to quality stationery and even snacks/food. The store is enormous, with extensive options for anything that you need. The staff are nice, with a convenient location in the town hall area. Overall, I highly recommend a visit to Daiso to find many great wares at an impressively affordable price.
Cool experience (not literally because they have no air con), confusing sinage IN the building (shop is in the basement - all the signs have arrows pointing upwards), the basement level is called level 9 while the street level is marked as level 10 but in the map level 9 is ABOVE level 10…..dunno wether that’s a Japanese thing or wether the UX designer was on vacation when the building was build…
How ever - the store is nice. All kind of Japanese gizmos and gadgets. They have price conversions signs up to find the price in AUD but unfortunately most products don’t have prices so there is nothing to convert. But since the most expensive item on the conversion table is AU$26 it’s a gamble one can take when shopping there 😊
Large range of Japanese-sourced products. Can alittle pricey compared to products that are already generally available elsewhere though. That said it has many things you won't find elsewhere.
This Daiso store is located inside The Galleries in Townhall. I prefer this store over other Daiso due to the spacious size. The staff are nice. There are a good range of food and everyday products, though sometimes the stock is not updated quick enough.
Daiso stores have some of the items that are not available elsewhere, so when in Sydney we’d stop and have a browse here.
In April 2022 all items were $3.10 each except those with a different price tag.
This one is located one level down, the entrance is off 501 George Street or Kent Street.
